This Privacy Policy explains what information DateCook collects and how it is used. DateCook is designed to collect only what the app needs to work.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: if you create an account, we collect your email address and display name.
- Shared cooking sessions: to sync a live shared cooking session between participants, we temporarily process live cooking session data, your display name, and your step progress.
- Purchase status: anonymous purchase status is handled through RevenueCat.
2. What Stays On Your Device
- Guest cooking history stays only on the device.
- Meal photos stay on the device unless you explicitly share them via the iOS share sheet.
3. What We Don't Do
- DateCook does not track users.
- DateCook does not show ads.
- DateCook does not collect location.
- DateCook does not sell data.
4. Deleting Your Account and Data
You can permanently delete your account and server data from within the app at Profile > Delete My Account & Data.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Apple. DateCook never sees your payment card details.
